What’s the difference between an ELN and a LIMS — and which is this?
Both, lightly. LabOps Lite connects experiment documentation with sample, inventory, purchasing, equipment, project, scheduling, and audit workflows — enough operational depth for a working lab without an enterprise implementation project.
How is this different from a big enterprise LIMS?
LabOps Lite is intentionally narrower: it is built for academic and small research labs that need connected day-to-day records without a formal validation package or a large implementation programme. It is priced in two team-size tiers, and both tiers include the same product.
Is my lab’s data secure and private?
Every lab’s data is isolated with row-level security, each person uses an individual account, and data is encrypted in transit and at rest on managed infrastructure. Our Privacy Policy names each provider and explains that processing may occur in the United States and other countries. Core records and operational reports are exportable from their modules, with broader data requests available through support.
How much does it cost?
Two flat plans: $50/month for a PI plus up to 5 members, or $100/month for unlimited members. Every feature is included in both — you choose by team size, not by feature tier.
